The Toraja people came across the waves and landed in Sulawesi. It is here they took their boats to the land, up the hills and established an unique culture and ritual. There love for boats can still be seen in their Tongkonan’s -houses with massive peaks on their roofs and colourful carvings. It is no wonder that their erongs -wooden chest to hold the dead, are wonderfully decorated.
Mirror, mirror on the wall
True hope lies beyond the coast
You’re a damned kind, can’t you see
That the winds will change?
